The journey begins with serving his customers coffee in his own hair salon in 2008, Mr Kyohei Hotta from roasting his own coffee bean for leisure to partner with his high school schoolmate Mr Keita Nakamura who has experience in coffee roasting, opening his coffee shop Lilo Coffee Roasters in 2014 with acclaims around the world.

由最初在2008年經營髮廊時為客人提供咖啡的堀田恭平先生因興趣而購買生豆自家烘焙，經過數年耐心鑽研，咖啡店於2014年與同樣在對咖啡烘焙有研究的中學同學中村圭太先生一同開業，最後成為全日本最有名的咖啡店之一。
